When I was growing up in a Chicago area suburb, a more senior man walked the neighborhood every Saturday with his gas-powered lawn edger. He didn't charge for his labor - he simply offered a helping hand and neighbors would donate if they felt moved. That spirit of generosity stuck with me. Although different, Folsom Garden Walls is my way of carrying that concept forward.
Folsom Garden Walls launched when I looked at a blank area on our fence one day and thought, “You know what this needs? Plants… but vertically.” That single thought led to building our own garden wall and has now expanded into offering one-of-a-kind garden walls for others in the community.
I've always had a lifelong love of nature and enjoy work like this because it’s part art, part engineering, and part “trying to convince plants to behave.” I design each modular wall based on your space and style — and yes, I get excited about picking the perfect mix of plants and seeing how it turns out.
